My 2025 Equinox EV, purchased pre-owned from Lindsay Cadillac in March 2026, now has a failed Telematics Control Module. I learned that the vendor (OnStar) is unable to supply the demand for this part such that affected owners are waiting a month or more for resolution. How can this situation be allowed to occur?
In doing further research, I’ve learned that GM has issued Service Bulletin N262547330 to permit a work around. This was not mentioned to me when my car was at the dealership to diagnose the module failure. I left a VM for my service advisor today to discuss this but he has not yet called me back.
We are taking a two week trip at the end of June and I really want this resolved by then. Happy to discuss further - Derek Walker 703.244.7188

I understand things happen where people do not show up for work or show up late and you get behind but what is the reasoning for making an appointment if it is still going to be first come first served. I think if you have an appointment you should be served before a walk in. I am beginning to believe making an appointment is just a suggestion.

First - Jesse our service manager was good - kept us informed when he was able to and explained the process as best he could. The hand off to other staff when Jesse was out was not great, as it took several calls to get a status update. The rest of the process was lacking. Part of that was the Hendricks warranty process. Part was a holiday weekend. But upon pick up, the car was dirtier than when I dropped it off as it had been parked under a tree and had bird droppings and tree debris covering it. It took 15 minutes to bring it up and wasn’t washed. It had someone else’s keys in the console, which my wife returned before leaving. Smelled like smoke (probably from the kid driving it). Lastly, I was charged for an oil change but the oil life indicator was never reset. No new sticker reminder for a next oil change was applied. So I am questioning whether the oil was actually changed. I hope it was, but hard to really know for sure since the two visible indicators indicate it was not. Disappointing experience overall.

Arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment. Took over an hour for service writer to meet with me. Then three more hours for a basic oil change and rotation. What is the point of making an appointment?
